Firebird Festival Night
Firebird Festival Nights is a collaboration between Firebird and Yury Revich’s “Festival Nights” series, which takes place principally in Vienna.
The main feature of this programme is an arrangement of Beethoven’s dazzling Kreutzer Sonata for Violin and String Orchestra, which will be narrated with excerpts from Leo Tolstoy’s book on the same subject.
This is complimented by beautifully melodious compositions by Yury alongside popular virtuoso works by Massenet and Sarasate.
The fourth generation of a family of solo violinists, Yury Revich is a winner of both ECHO Classic and International Classical Music Awards and enjoys a busy international schedule of concerts and concertos across the globe. He has performed at each season with Firebird since 2019.
Narrator:

One of Britain’s finest actors, writers and directors, Simon Callow CBE will be joining us as the narrator for the Firebird Festival Night this autumn.
Simon Callow has played roles ranging from Mozart and Napoleon to Charles Dickens and is instantly recognisable on film, television and stage.
